Improving Explosive Power
We have just wrapped our current programming where we were focusing on improving explosive power tested through a vertical jump test. We tested at the beginning (Nov ’21) the middle (Dec ’21) and at the end (Jan ’22) and below is screen shots of everyone’s progress.
There was a whole programming strategy involved using specific exercises to achieve success. With this improvement we did not want to lose any of our strength as tested through the Squat, Shoulder Press, and Deadlift as well as endurance and cardiovascular health (also tested throughout) and I am proud to say that everyone improved in these areas as well. Our next 12 weeks we are going to continue to work on overall fitness (flexibility, strength, endurance, etc.) but focus on imbalances in our bodies and work to correct them. Imbalances such as different strengths between your left and right arm / left and right leg etc.
